Background history time!
I was born in the Philippines—Los Banos, Laguna. We were there until I was five (1995), when my family moved to Hirosaki, Aomori, Japan for my dad’s doctorate. Then after he was done, we moved back to the Philippines again for a couple of months (1998) before moving to the United States. I’ve been there since.
